CAM 2021 VSH Week 2

You made it! Welcome to week 2 of the CAM 2021 Virtual Scavenger Hunt!

First, apologies for the page not posting when it was supposed to. I hope the wait was not too frustrating.

I hope you are enjoying the process of discovering answers and learning a little bit along the way.

OK, here are the questions for week 2 of the 2021 CAM Virtual Scavenger Hunt!

The Berry College Office of Information Technology (OIT) has successfully enrolled the community in multi-factor authentication (MFA) on their Berry account. According to the Multi-factor Authentication Quick Info page on the Cybersecurity News & Alerts site, the recommended second factor is the Microsoft Authenticator app for your smart phone. What are the two options the app presents when your second factor is required to complete your login?

OIT also encourages everyone to set up MFA/2FA on all of their accounts that support it. The Microsoft Authenticator app can provide the time-based one-time passwords (TOPT) that most sites use as a second factor. How many digits do these passwords use? Please answer with the word for the number, not the number.

As you have probably already discovered, the best place to find out what is happening with Information Security at Berry is the Cybersecurity News & Alerts site. (https://cybersecurity.berry.edu). It is also the best place to find answers to all these scavenger hunt questions. All of the articles from previous years of participating in October's Cybersecurity Awareness Month are available on the site. In what year did the college NOT participate in Cybersecurity Awareness Month and therefore have no articles in the archive?

The HaveIBeenPwned website (haveibeenpwned.com), where you can check to see if your information has been exposed in a data breach or other event, is run by Troy Hunt, a Microsoft Regional Director and MVP for Developer Security. He doesn't work for Microsoft, but they recognize his contributions to the security community with these titles. He has his own website troyhunt.com where he does a weekly update, posts his upcoming speaking engagements, and has other information, generally about him, available. For what popular online professional training company does Troy Hunt write web courses on security?
