Get ready to test your wits, sharpen your research skills, and have a little fun along the way.
This year, we’re doing things differently—instead of releasing one challenge per week, all levels are available now. That means no cliffhangers, no waiting—you control the pace. There are five levels total, and with each one, the difficulty increases. But don’t worry: clear directions and helpful hints are provided throughout to guide you.
Here’s how it works:
- Each level contains three questions.
- Once you’ve answered them, you’ll submit your name and email at the end of the section.
- You’ll then receive an email containing your responses and instructions for how to form “the code” to unlock the next level.
A few reminders:
- All answers must be submitted in lowercase.
- Don’t overthink it! Trust your instincts, read carefully, and enjoy the challenge.
- This is designed to be a fun way to learn, explore, and engage with real cybersecurity concepts and history.
Why should you do this crazy hunt?
You will learn about topics related to cybersecurity, plus the prizes are awesome! The grand prize is a Sony Bluetooth speaker with protective case.

When the drawing for participation prizes is conducted, I will draw for the fifth level completion first. The winner of that drawing can choose which of the five prizes below they want. I’ll then draw for the fourth level, and that winner can pick from the remaining prizes, and so on.
