CAM 2026 Virtual Scavenger Hunt Week 1

In week one, all the answers can be found on the Berry College Cybersecurity News and Alerts website. Open a second tab so you can easily switch between the hunt and the site while you search.

The main goal of this level is to help you get familiar with the site. Remember to submit all your answers in lowercase. Happy hunting!

Question 1: Phishing emails are the most common method attackers use to breach their victims’ defenses. That’s why it’s important to know what to watch for as you go through your inbox.
In a Quick Info page on the website, we’ve outlined a list of key red flags that can help you spot a phishing attempt. One of the entries has a single word fully capitalized. What is that word? (And ironically, remember to submit and use it in all lowercase)

Question 2: How to Quickly Report a Phishing Email in Outlook:
The fastest way to report a phishing email in Outlook is by using the Report Phishing button located at the top of your Outlook email interface or in the three dots menu in your mobile client. You can also report "junk" email using the same button or menu. Junk email is defined in the article as "unwanted" or "spammy", but not necessarily _________________.

Question 3: You’ve heard about phishing, but what, might you ask, is “vishing”?
Vishing is the use of voice calls, instead of email, to attempt to steal credentials or convince users to do risky actions on their computers. Vishers particularly target remote workers by impersonating IT staff. According to the article, "the _____________ makes it easier for vishers to impersonate IT departments".

Question 4: How long is a good password?
On the Good Password Guidelines quick info page, there are (duh!) guidelines for good passwords. One guideline states that good password are 15-25 characters long. How long is the example password that is given a few bullets down the page? (Use the number)

To proceed, submit your name and email.
Your responses will be emailed to you—along with instructions on how to construct the password to reach the next level.
Only the correct answers will reveal the path forward.
