First, I’d like to make it crystal clear…crystal…clear…there are NO FREE PIANOS!

Welcome to the July newsletter and welcome to July. This newsletter comes at a time that I hope is better than last week, as I suspect that half of you were on vacation, and the other half were wishing you were, so I assumed no one would read it then. You definitely should continue reading now, as there are a number of topics I need to get in front of everyone.

June is here and all of the “specialness” we experience every June is headed our way. SOAR sessions, campus updates, technology updates, and more are in progress. All of the things that we don’t do during the two main semesters are now in full swing.

Yes, it is almost the end of May…June will be here before some of you read this, but it was important to go ahead and send out a much delayed May newsletter. This will be a somewhat short, but to the point newsletter.

Welcome to April. The semester plows ahead, even as we grow weary of it. April brings us showers, tax deadlines, and the light at the end of the semester tunnel. It also brings us security awareness training, but don’t despair, this spring edition of security awareness training is laser-focused and comparatively shorter than previous instances.

If you’re like me, February went by quickly. Welcome to March! We’re advancing through the semester at a rapid pace and graduation will be here before we all know it. Before that happens, there are a couple of other milestones we will achieve. One of those is Spring Break, happening next week, and the other one I’d like to discuss is April 18th, or Tax Day (at least for 2023). One or both of these dates affect almost anyone reading this newsletter, so allow me a few minutes to remind you of some things to remember.

Welcome to February! Was January just a blur for you, too? We’re well on our way into the semester and cyber attackers are back to their tricks after taking a little time for the holidays. I’m doing something different for this newsletter and I’ve invited a guest to contribute to the content. Our guest goes by the initials MW. I’m afraid the topic is well known to those of you who read this newsletter on a regular basis.

Welcome to 2023 and welcome back to Berry! I want to congratulate you for surviving the holidays and deciding to come back to campus for a brand new year and brand new semester. There are LOTS of things to discuss this month, including Data Privacy Week, a reminder about updates to our login security, and some tips for you LastPass, Tiktok, and Twitter users.
